(NCHC) Board of Directors announces that Kenneth Waller, FACHE is joining the nationally recognized Norwalk-based nonprofit healthcare provider as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 28, 2020. Norwalk Community Health Center has been providing compassionate healthcare and wellness programs to its patients, from newborn to seniors, in Fairfield County since 1999, regardless of ability to pay. It is ranked by HRSA in the top 10% of all health centers nationwide (out of 1200 health centers and 14,000 sites) for the quality of care its patients receive. “I am inspired by Norwalk Community Health Center’s mission statement and how everyone associated with the health center embraces its core values,” said Ken Waller. “My goal is to build on the high quality of care, focus on continuity of care, and integrated team approach that is working well, and to advance its overarching purpose of improving population health for the greater Norwalk community.” Waller is a Fellow of George Washington University, Milken Institute on Health Policy and The American of College of Healthcare Executives. He comes to Norwalk Community Health Center from Amistad Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was CEO. He brings over 20 years of health systems and medical service delivery operations experience, including 7 years in C-suite positions. The New Jersey native holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from Kean University and a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Almost 13,000 patients each year entrust their pediatric, adult, dental, women’s and behavioral healthcare to NCHC at its 120 Connecticut Avenue location and aboard its Medical Mobile Unit.
