Fairfield County's Community Foundation launched the Fairfield County COVID-19 Resiliency Fund on March 18th to support frontline nonprofits. Nearly $2.5 million has been raised from donors throughout Fairfield County, and were able to quickly deploy this funding to support nonprofits such as the above group of organizations. To date, more than $1.9 million has been distributed to 154 local nonprofit organizations, reaching more than 260,000 of our region’s most vulnerable residents — that’s a quarter of the entire population of Fairfield County!

Fairfield County Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Resiliency Fund awarded these local nonprofits grant funding:

  • American Cancer Society
  • Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield
  • Family & Children’s Agency
  • Filling In The Blanks, Inc.
  • Food Rescue US
  • Liberation Programs
  • Malta House
  • Maritime Aquarium
  • Norwalk Community College Foundation
  • Norwalk Community Health Center
  • Norwalk Hospital
  • Person-to-Person
  • St. Paul’s on the Green
  • STAR, Inc. Lighting The Way
  • Tiny Miracles Foundation
  • Triangle Community Center

All these organizations played important roles in the region’s response.

We have been very impressed with the way our region’s nonprofits immediately pivoted in response to this public health crisis and we are honored to support their important work. As a member of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, we’re proud to be among local organizations who understand that helping our community thrive is good business.

We are indeed lucky to have such a strong nonprofit sector here in Fairfield County and grateful to all those who support it. And we are still accepting donations at https://fccfoundation.org/ways-to-give/covid19resiliencyfund/, and learn more about all of our community impact areas at https://fccfoundation.org/.
