If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.
My husband, son and I arrived at the facility when it opened at 8am for our rapid antigen covid test required for travel. The staff processed our insurance and questionnaire quickly so our wait time was minimal.
Chris, our nurse, greeted us with a smile, took our temperatures, and then led us into Exam Room 4. He explained the test procedure, check our vitals and answer our questions. For our safety and comfort all three of us stayed together to wait for the results (all negative!). We were surprised to see a physician (extremely friendly) as we were not there for an office visit, per se, just a covid test needed for travel.
We heartily recommend Urgent Care in Norwalk to anyone reading this review. Their staff is very professional and caring. Chris and the doctor had excellent bedside manner and, I'll add, a very friendly disposition. While in the waiting room I observed how warm the staff treated all walk-in patients: from the elderly, young adults, middle-aged and even young children.
So hats off once again to Chris and Dr. Garley for their wonderful service to us.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Betty - Thanks for your feedback; it is much appreciated by our staff. We are glad we could help.
AFC Norwalk TeamJun 3, 2020Previous reviewI am a senior who experienced a bloody nose that would not stop for over 7 hours. Given that I was being treated for high blood pressure, my condition was of great concern to my husband and me.
Well, from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly caring staff. The front desk handled the paperwork quickly and I had my receipt ready before my name was called. The wait time was minimal.
The nurse assigned to me was kind and offered to take 2 blood pressure readings as I was a bit nervous.
Brittany, the physician's assistant, was absolutely amazing. She explained everything to my husband and me and even included drawings of diagrams to illustrate what happened.
She was able to successfully stop the bleeding and suggested OTC meds to help me if I ever had another nose bleed. I was so pleased with the service she rendered to me. that I asked if I could come back and use AFC as my primary care physician.
I suffer from "white coat syndrome" but in this case, my blood pressure dropped by over 60 points!!
Amazing bedside manner by all; friendly, warm, caring staff. Ready to answer all questions. Highly, highly recommend!!!
I am looking forward to continuing my health journey with Brittany and the wonderful staff at AFC. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! Thank you for helping me! - May 10, 2022
Been waiting HOURS to be seen! There is one dr working the waiting room. Def short staffed.
They said it would be an hour, going on almost three with three people ahead of me. The woman just taken was waiting over three hours. (I know this bc she was very vocal about it.)
One woman is waiting two hours on an appt that she made.
They just told someone that came in he wouldn't be seen for four hours. Well finally they are telling the truth to people.
Seriously I would have gone elsewhere if they lmk how much time it really was going to take.
In room waiting on tests. Nurse says it will be ten mins. At 20 mins I stick my head out of the room to see if they have any ginger ale bc I'm nausea. Nope they don't. Ok. And no word on 10 min test.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Camila L.Bridgeport, CT01Aug 25, 2023
HORRIBLE customer service.
Have been calling since July to get a drug test result and they have been giving excuses and saying they will call back, but they never call back.
I have been emailing them, and they read the email but never reply to it.
They DO NOT pick up the phone, and when they do, they leave you on hold for more than 30 minutes.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elizabeth B.Norwalk, CT0105Jun 30, 2023
Best urgent care. Very seamless and staff is always kind. Really love coming here -- doctors are great as are the rest of the team. Keep up the good work!

Absolute horrible service!!! Came in for physical at 430, I had to get papers printed so I came back in less than 20 minutes. when I get back the receptionist is outside on the phone watching my children and I walk in and continues conversation for at least 10 minutes while other patients start to come she still doesn't stop her phone call EVENTUALLY a lady comes out and tells me that they stop doing physicals at 4!!! I could have been told that the first time and not returned! i wouldn't waste my time with this place very unprofessional !!!

I am absolutely APPALLED at the unsafe manner in which this medical center handles covid testing. Given that it is three days before Christmas, it has been near impossible to find a (rapid) covid test anywhere. I am supposed to travel on Friday and I am symptomatic so I wanted to be sure. I called this location yesterday and they said they open at 8am and if I arrive this morning at 7:30-7:45 I can hop in line to register for a covid test. They receive only 50 tests a day so once they're gone, they're gone. Okay perfect. I arrive at 7:20 and am 32nd in the line waiting outside. During my 40 minute wait, people's family members are arriving and jumping in line, as their family had a place held for them. More and more of them cutting in front of me (and the 50+ people waiting behind me).
At 8:00 the line starts moving... oddly fast. As I get to the entrance, all 50 people in front of me are in this 15x15 waiting room filling out their forms. ZERO social distancing. People with covid jammed on top of one another. Once they got to the registration counter they were told to go to their cars to fill out their forms and come back in when completed. But no one, and I mean NO ONE left. It was chaos. A doctor at one point yells out of the door that everyone needs to social distance but no one budged and they didn't do anything to enforce it. So, I finally get to the counter and the lady says "we're all out of tests". I was #51. But when I arrived I was #32 in line. A giant thanks to the 19 people who were too damn lazy to stand in line on their own and decided to cut in front at the last minute.
Given the insanely high cases of covid right now and this new variant, I am shocked that there was no staff member at the door slowly letting people in, or having everyone register outside. I wish my photo could have captured the part of the room to the left, because it looked even worse.
If you came to this urgent care center this morning without covid, you probably have it now. And you can thank your medical professionals.
Merry Christmas.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cathy C.Norwalk, CT01Dec 18, 2022
This place was an absolute joke! Please use a different walk in facility. I made an appointment online thinking when I got there the most I'd wait is 5 mins but about 1.5 hours later i was still waiting to be seen. Making an appointment the traditional way is not What they enforce and it was incredibly frustrating. When you're not feeling well, this DOESN'T work. They need to reevaluate how appointments should work. You shouldn't have to go in at your scheduled appointment time then to have to leave and come back closest to the actual time they give you after you've checked in. That is absolutely ridiculous so I'll never go back. And, they ask you to go in 20 mins early before your appointment, which I did.
What a waste of time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristen B.Norwalk, CT01Sep 12, 2022
I made an appointment thinking that would be better and save time rather than just walking in and waiting a long time. I got a text confirming everything. I was supposed to get another
text message 20 minutes prior to my appointment which I did not so I called to see what was happening. The guy at the front desk said the online system lost/canceled my appointment And I would have to make another, which to me made no sense. It was also getting late on a Sunday afternoon. Then he tells me I missed my appointment which made no sense at all. He was less than helpful. Don't waste your time....go to a different walk in. There's another right down the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Helen R.New Canaan, CT195Jan 20, 2023
This morning I had an appointment scheduled here for 8:45AM. While there was only one person in the waiting room with me, no patients were coming out. I asked the receptionist if there was a doctor available, and she said yes, and that the doctor was seeing patients. I ended up waiting for more than 1/2 hour inside the room, and when I finally opened the door, and asked the nurse when I would see the doctor, he said he could get the doctor for me. So, if I had not asked, I would still be waiting. The physician assistant finally came in 10 minutes later. She told me they have 2 physician assistants in this practice, but no MDs. It wasn't worth making an appointment, and the care was also compromised. I will definitely avoid this Urgent care in the future!

there is nothing URGENT about this "urgent" care facility. very lackadaisical poorest time management skills. made an appointment for 12;45 it is now 2 and still waiting. When i asked front desk how long she said a few more minutes... when it's already been an hour... i reminded her of my appointment time and she said "appointments are just place holders" right, a place holder for the APPOINTMENT TIME MADE. don't waste your time here like me.
